Hosting just got… solider.

I know, I know… that title hurt the grammarian within me severely, but it is the best way to describe what happened overnight.

In layman’s terms, the sites all moved from a standard server setup using regular hard drives (SATA) to solid state drives (SSD). If you know anything about hard drives, a SSD is desirable. If you don’t know anything about hard drives, then this definition may interest you:

a storage device containing nonvolatile flash memory, used in place of a hard disk because of its much greater speed.

I like the last 3 words — “much greater speed.” I’m expecting most (if not all) 3Cstudio managed hosting clients will as well! And at least you now know why my post title is so… ungrammatical, yet apropos? 🙂
